Posted in Local May 16, 2023 BLOOMINGTON – Indiana State Police Superintendent Douglas Carter recently announced the promotion of Trooper Matthew Hatchett to the position of Detective. Detective Matthew Hatchett Detective Hatchett will continue to serve the Bloomington District but with Field Investigations. Detective Hatchett earned this promotion through a competitive selection process. Detective Hatchett is a 5-year veteran of the Indiana State Police. He is a 2012 graduate of Brown County High School and is currently enrolled at Indiana Tech studying Criminal Justice and looks to complete his bachelor's degree later in 2023.
